Invitation Programme Terms

Last updated: 26 September 2026

These terms (the "Programme Terms") govern the "Invite a friend" invitation programme of EVmetry, offered by Gabriel Piraccini (the "Provider", "we"). They form an integral part of the Terms of Service, which continue to apply to everything not covered here. Terms defined in the Terms of Service have the same meaning in this document. They also govern the gifts from EVmetry described in Section 12.

The programme described here is the one actually running in the Application. The parameters of the current campaign, namely reward length, maximum number of rewards and redemption window, are shown on the Rewards page of the Application: where they differ from what is stated below, what the Application shows prevails.

1. What the programme is

1.1 The programme lets a User (the "inviter") share a personal code or link. A new User who uses it (the "invitee") receives a period of free access to EVmetry Pro; the inviter in turn receives a period of free access when the invitee becomes a paying subscriber.

1.2 As of the last updated date, the current campaign grants rewards of 30 days of EVmetry Pro each.

1.3 The programme is free. Neither side has to pay to take part: not to receive an invitation, and not to make one qualify.

2. Who can invite

2.1 A User with an active EVmetry subscription, on the base or Pro plan, or an ongoing free trial, can generate and share an invitation code.

2.2 The code stops being redeemable once the inviter no longer has an active plan. In particular:

2.3 The invitation code is personal and tied to the account. A code whose account has been deleted is no longer redeemable.

3. Who can be invited

3.1 A User can use an invitation code if they meet all of the following conditions:

3.2 The invited User must not be the same person as the inviter. Self-referral is prohibited and the system refuses the use of your own code.

4. The invitee's reward

4.1 The invitee receives 30 days of EVmetry Pro.

4.2 If the inviter has already made at least one real payment, the invitee's reward is final from the moment it is redeemed.

4.3 If the inviter is still on a free trial, the invitee's reward starts out conditional: it stays valid only if the inviter confirms the subscription at the end of the trial. This condition is shown to the invitee when redeeming and on the Rewards page, together with the days left until the inviter's trial ends.

4.4 If the inviter does not convert the trial into a paid subscription, the invitee's conditional reward is revoked and the invitation is cancelled. The Provider waits a short technical window of ten minutes after the trial ends before treating it as unconverted, so that a payment recorded late still has time to qualify the invitation.

5. The inviter's reward

5.1 The inviter receives 30 days of EVmetry Pro for each invitee who qualifies.

5.2 The inviter's reward qualifies only on the invitee's first real payment. Signing up, the free trial, entering a payment method or opening a subscription are not enough: only a charge that actually succeeds counts. Until then the reward stays pending and is shown as such on the Rewards page.

5.3 Eligible window. The invitee's first payment unlocks the inviter's reward if it happens within 30 days of the end of the invitee's 30 days of reward. If the invitee's reward was never activated, the reference point is the expiry of their redemption window. If that deadline passes without payment, the inviter's reward lapses.

5.4 A pending reward whose queue is frozen, because the invitee does not yet have an active deadline, does not lapse: it stays pending until the window starts running.

6. How rewards are used

6.1 One reward at a time. Only one reward can be active at any moment. The others stay available in the queue.

6.2 Redemption window. Each available reward must be activated within 6 months. Where several rewards mature together, the deadlines are spaced 60 days apart, so that a run of rewards earned on the same day stays genuinely usable one after another instead of expiring all at once.

6.3 Freezing during a paid subscription. While you have a paid Pro subscription running, rewards stay put and do not expire: the deadlines start running again when the paid subscription ends. A frozen reward is never lost through the passage of time.

6.4 Automatic activation and booking. You can choose for the next reward to start automatically when one ends, with no gap, and you can book a reward to start when your current subscription ends, so data collection is never left uncovered. Both options can be turned on and off at any time from the Rewards page.

6.5 Continuity. If a reward starts late for technical reasons, the day count starts from the moment it should have begun: a delay in the system does not take days of reward away from you.

6.6 An expired or revoked reward cannot be restored, save for an error by the Provider.

7. Programme limits

7.1 Up to 12 rewards per User and per campaign. Once the limit is reached, later invitations generate no new rewards.

7.2 One invitation received per account. An account can use only one invitation code, ever.

7.3 One invitation per vehicle. Each VIN can qualify one invitation only, permanently. Disconnecting and reconnecting the same Tesla, even on a different or newly created account, does not free the vehicle: the record is tied to the chassis number and survives account deletion.

7.4 Once per pair of vehicles. A given pair made up of the inviter's vehicle and the invitee's vehicle can attempt an invitation only once, even if that attempt later lapsed. The invitee remains free to be invited by someone else.

7.5 One free trial per vehicle and per account. The invitation programme does not get around that limit: a reward is not a free trial and does not grant a new one.

7.6 The Provider may require the account's email address to be verified before granting a reward.

8. Prohibited conduct

8.1 The following are prohibited and carry the consequences set out in Section 9:

8.2 The invitation code is personal. It may not be sold, auctioned, traded or posted on discount code aggregation sites.

9. Revocation of rewards

9.1 A reward already granted can be revoked only in the event of established abuse, in the cases below. A running reward ends immediately and the related period of free access closes.

ReasonWho loses the rewards
Payment dispute (chargeback) found to be fraudulentOnly the person who opened it. The other side keeps their reward.
Self-referralBoth sides: they are in fact the same person.
Reuse of the same vehicle to obtain more invitationsBoth sides, for the same reason.
Breach of these Programme TermsOnly the person who committed it.
Inviter's free trial not converted into a paid subscriptionThe invitee's conditional reward lapses, under Section 4.4. This is not abuse: it is the condition that reward was subject to.

9.2 An ordinary refund revokes no reward. Once an invitation has qualified, the reward is earned: neither a refund, nor a cancellation, nor the expiry of the invitee's subscription takes it away from the inviter. The Provider simply records the event for human review.

9.3 A payment dispute that is not fraudulent revokes no reward: it is only recorded. Only a dispute classified as fraudulent produces the revocation shown in the table.

9.4 A cancellation revokes no reward. Anyone who has paid at least once keeps the rewards they earned, even if they cancel straight afterwards.

9.5 If you believe a revocation was made in error, write to gabriel@evmetry.com: the decision will be reviewed.

10. Nature of the rewards

10.1 Rewards consist exclusively of periods of free access to EVmetry Pro.

10.2 Rewards have no monetary value, cannot be converted into cash, are not refundable, are not assignable or transferable to other accounts or other people, and cannot be combined with other rewards to extend their length beyond what Section 6 provides.

10.3 Rewards grant no feature beyond those included in the Pro plan during the period the reward is active.

10.4 Tax matters. The Provider pays no money and no consideration to participants. If, under the law of your country or state, the value of a reward received becomes relevant for tax purposes, any resulting reporting and payment obligation rests with the recipient. The Provider gives no tax advice.

11. Transparency when promoting publicly

11.1 If you publicly promote, recommend or review EVmetry and you may receive a benefit through the invitation programme, you must disclose clearly and conspicuously that you might receive a benefit, such as a period of free service, if someone signs up through your link or code.

11.2 This applies in any public setting: social networks, videos, live streams, podcasts, blogs, newsletters, forums, groups and comments. The disclosure must be:

11.3 We impose no fixed wording and no mandatory hashtag. The idea must be obvious, though: anyone who signs up with my link earns me a period of free service.

11.4 This rule reflects the transparency duties set out, among others, in the US Federal Trade Commission guidance on the use of endorsements and testimonials in advertising, and in the European and Italian rules on advertising and commercial practices. If the platform you post on offers a tool for declaring commercial content, use that as well.

11.5 A promotion lacking the required disclosure is a breach of these Programme Terms under Section 8.1 and may lead to the revocation of rewards.

12. Gifts from EVmetry

12.1 From time to time the Provider may gift periods of free access to EVmetry Pro to Users of its choosing, at its discretion ("gifts from EVmetry"). There is no right to receive one. A gift is a reward in every respect: except as provided in this Section, the rules of Sections 6, 8, 9 and 10 apply.

12.2 The gift appears on the Rewards page, sent by the EVmetry team. At the last-updated date a gift is worth 30 days of EVmetry Pro; the length of each gift is the one shown on the Rewards page.

12.3 Waiting for the Tesla. If you have no Tesla connected to your account when you receive the gift, the gift waits until you connect one. No deadline runs while it waits.

12.4 Activation window. From the moment you have a Tesla connected, the gift must be activated within its campaign's redemption window, currently 2 months, shown on the Rewards page. While you have a paid Pro subscription or another free period of EVmetry Pro running, the window is paused, as in Section 6.3, and starts again in full when they end. Activating a gift requires a verified email address.

12.5 The days start when you activate it. The free period starts when you activate the gift from the Rewards page, not when you receive it. The one-active-reward rule applies (Section 6.1): available rewards are activated in order, oldest first, whoever sent them.

12.6 First payment. If you make your first real payment for an active EVmetry subscription while a gift is running, the gift ends at that moment and the paid subscription takes over; unused gift days are not carried over. A free trial on its own does not end the gift, and a gift activated after your first payment is not ended by later payments.

12.7 No charge. Receiving and using a gift does not require any payment method, and nothing is charged when the gift ends: free access to EVmetry Pro simply stops.

12.8 Nature of the gift. The gift is personal and tied to your account: it cannot be assigned or transferred, has no monetary value and cannot be converted into cash (Section 10.2). Each gift campaign is granted at most once per account.

12.9 Relationship with the invitation programme. A gift from EVmetry is not a received invitation: it does not count towards the limit in Section 7.2, so you can still be invited by a friend, it does not count towards the limit in Section 7.1, and it neither grants nor uses up a free trial (Section 7.5).

12.10 Revocation. The Provider may revoke a gift in case of abuse or fraud, including the conduct in Section 8; a running gift ends immediately, as provided in Section 9.1.

13. Changing, suspending and closing the programme

13.1 The Provider may change, suspend or close the programme, in whole or in part, and may change its parameters, namely reward length, maximum number and redemption windows, at any time.

13.2 Changes apply going forward. A change to the programme, or its closure, does not take away rewards already earned: rewards already granted remain usable under the rules in force when they were granted, until they naturally expire.

13.3 Substantial changes will be published on this page with an updated "last updated" date and, where they affect rewards already earned in a way that is unfavourable to you, communicated to you in advance.

13.4 The Provider may close the programme without notice where necessary to stop abuse in progress; even then, rewards already earned and not involved in the abuse remain usable.

14. Personal data and contacts

14.1 To run the programme, the Provider handles your account identifier, the VIN of the connected vehicle and the status of your invitations and rewards, as described in the Privacy Policy.

14.2 A small amount of information tied to the VIN is kept even after the account is deleted and without any reference to the deleted account: it is the only safeguard against the same promotion being used over and over by the same vehicle.

14.3 For any question about the programme, write to gabriel@evmetry.com.
